Where does self-doubt come from?

I believe body image self-doubt comes into play when we are exposed to diet culture as kids.

It’s when people start commenting on our appearance more so than who we show up as in the world.

Diet culture believes we must be a specific size to be of worth.

We label foods as “good” or “bad.”

It means that we only value ourselves by our looks.

You are more than a body that needs to be smaller.

You are a friend, relative, and complex human being who deserves to be seen for all you bring to the table, not just your body.

I believe fitness is deeper than exercise.

I believe it’s how you move throughout your lifetime.

I believe it’s your stress, sleep, life obstacles, and everything else that comes up for your nervous system.
